Salem is originally from Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She is now enjoying a part-time retirement. She owned and ran her own animal pracitce for 31 years. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, gastrointestinal, geriatrics and musculo-skeletal problems. She is well versed in small and large animal medicine and has worked with an aray of animals from cows, primates, dogs and pocket pets. After Graduating she enlisted in the US Army Veterinary Corps. Sammons is a 1973 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. Her interests include, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (member of the Luiz Claudio Combat Team), reading classic and sci-fi/fantasy books, watching movies (anything but scary ones), horseback riding and canine rehabilitation. She also enjoys seeing exotics and pocket pets. Peterson is practicing small animal medicine only. She graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine May 2009. Peterson joined the team of veterinarians in 2009. Cauffman has developed health programs for various species, including white tail deer. Using his knowledge of large animal health management, Dr. He cares for 200 pleasure horses per year and focuses on reproduction management for horses. He has 31 years of experience in all types of large animals but focusing on equine medicine. Cauffman graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Animal Science and the University of Pennsylvania with a VMD, specializing in large animal medicine. Cauffman began working with the Sunbury Animal Hospital part time in 2006. She likes to read sci-fi/fantasy books and watch movies, anything to avoid housework! Dean M. Shaw enjoys restoring her Victorian house, riding her horse and living with her cat and 2 dogs. Temple in partnership of Sunbury Animal Hospital in 2007. She received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA and her DVM from Purdue University in 1996. Shaw joined Sunbury Animal Hospital in 1996. He enjoys traveling with his wife Kathy and listening to jazz music. Temple is the senior veterinarian and CEO of Sunbury Animal Hospital. He received his DVM from Michigan State University in 1971. Temple joined Sunbury Animal Hospital in 1972. Kamsler passed away in 2014, he is greatly missed by the hospital staff and community. In 1998 he and his wife jointly received the Sunbury "Citizen of the Year" award from the American Legion. Kamsler developed a reputation for service to both veterinary medicine and to his community. He received his VMD degree from The University of Pennsylvania in 1950. Kamsler founded the Sunbury Animal Hospital in 1952.
